GENDER EQUALITY AT CLYDE & CO

Bringing together employees from all over the firm, GECCO works with our management team, our Global Diversity and Inclusion team and other stakeholders to advance gender diversity.

LGBT+

Pryde & Co is a support network for LGBT+ colleagues within the firm and educates staff on the issues facing LGBT+ people today.

Mental health and wellbeing

We aim to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing issues, and we provide robust support to any colleagues who need it.

Culture and ethnicity

ACED (Achieving Ethnic and Cultural Diversity) aims to create a more diverse workforce and to widen the pool of talent from which our firm recruits employees.

We work with diverse clients. In diverse communities, all over the world. And it’s important to us to be reflective of those communities. INSPIRING YOUNG LIVES

Through our partnerships with charities, community groups and schools we support young people to aim higher.
Many of our programmes work with undergraduates from less advantaged backgrounds; helping raise their aspirations, improve their employability skills and widen access to the legal profession. We want our people to participate in volunteering opportunities that not only allow them to make a difference in their communities, but also develop their own skills.

ART AWARD

We launched the Clyde & Co Art Award in London in 2010. It was such a success it’s since expanded to Dubai, San Francisco, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. Our teams work with local art schools, colleges and universities with a view to helping young artists make the transition from school to the commercial world. Artworks are then selected to be displayed within our offices, with artists being paid for the year-long loan of their pieces. During this time, we offer the artists professional development workshops and pro bono support.

ENVIRONMENT

The preservation of our environment is increasingly important to our firm and to our clients – one of the reasons why we’re committed to being a more sustainable and energy-efficient business. We understand that our business has an impact on the environment so we’re constantly exploring ways that we can manage our operations and buildings in a way that minimises ours.

Our key priorities are to use less paper, travel less and reduce the waste in our offices.

ACCESS TO JUSTICE - OUR PRO BONO WORK

As a global law firm, we’re committed to making sure communities around the world have secure and fair access to legal advice and justice. Across our network, we’ve developed partnerships with legal clinics and NGOs, and we encourage our trainees and lawyers to participate in pro bono opportunities as much as possible.

Not only does this enable us to support individuals and charities, it’s also a great way for our lawyers to develop their skills and enhance their knowledge of areas of law that they might not typically work in.
